Why Tom Brady Says Becoming a Raider Was “A Dream Come True”

This offseason, Tom Brady opted for a suite in an NFL stadium instead of his football helmet.

Before becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders earlier this year, the storied NFL quarterback announced his retirement. Brady can go on to the next phase of his career thanks to the decision.

Since he was young, Brady has lived in the Bay Area. Even though the Raiders have since relocated to Las Vegas and the former Buccaneers and Patriots quarterback grew up more as a San Francisco 49ers fan, becoming a minority owner in the Raiders’ organization was still a “dream come true” for him.

“I grew up in the Bay Area,” Brady claimed. “The San Francisco 49ers were my favorite sports team. The Oakland Raiders were the group across the bay. Additionally, they are a legendary NFL team. Al Davis, a former Raiders owner and general manager, is one of the individuals I consider to have had the greatest positive influence on the NFL over a lengthy period of time. He is no longer with us, but I have heard amazing tales. Then I had the chance to join the Raiders’ minority ownership group, which was a lifelong goal of mine.

With that said, Brady does not anticipate engaging in this business for more than ten years.

He remains dedicated to his position with FOX, which is scheduled to start in 2024.

I’ll be acting in a really subdued manner. I’m interested in continuing to do this throughout my life. I don’t plan on getting into this for more than a year or two. With my position at Fox, you know, I have a lot of responsibility, which I take very seriously. However, when I consider my entire life, getting the chance to be a part of the NFL is a dream come true.

And if I could support the NFL and keep making a great difference, you know, that’s been a really fun part of my life.

It will be intriguing to observe Brady’s involvement with the Raiders over the upcoming season in a non-playing capacity.
