Denver recovered from losing Game 2 at home by stealing the next two games in Miami, putting the team on the verge of a championship.
The Nuggets were in charge the entire night, despite the Heat’s valiant efforts in the fourth quarter. The game became known as “The Aaron Gordon Game” as the former top-five pick dominated, scoring a game-high 27 points while shooting 11 for 15 from the field and 3 for 4 from beyond the arc.
With his fourth consecutive 10-assist performance to open the Finals, Jamal Murray joined Magic Johnson in the annals of basketball history. Nikola Jokic contributed a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler contributed 25 points, seven assists, and seven rebounds for Miami, and Bam Adebayo had a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds, but yet another valiant comeback fell just short.

11:10 p.m. : The Nuggets are currently just one victory away from winning the NBA title. The Nuggets have effectively stolen two games in Miami thanks to a game-high 27 points from Aaron Gordon and a balanced effort from Denver’s supporting cast.
Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo delivered impressive outings for the Heat, but the rest of the team never showed up. Just 13 points were scored by Max Strus, Gabe Vincent, and Caleb Martin collectively, and that won’t be sufficient to counter Denver’s balanced offense.
11:08 p.m. : And at Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope finished off the Heat. Caldwell-Pope nearly won this game with a 3-pointer sandwiched between a and-one and a 3-pointer from Brown.
10:53 p.m. : Jamal Murray’s history as of The standout guard for the Nuggets and Magic Johnson are the only individuals to have recorded ten or more assists in each of the first four games of the NBA Finals.
10:49 p.m. : With 6:54 left, the Nuggets lead by a comfortable eight points, 91-83, thanks to a missed layup by Bam Adebayo and a strong finish inside by Aaron Gordon. Gordon has been an absolute beast tonight with 27 points.
10:42 p.m: The Heat is here! With 10 minutes left in the quarter, Nikola Jokic committed his fifth foul and had to leave the game. To start the quarter, Miami has replied with a 7-0 run that is completed by a Jimmy Butler and-one that electrifies the fans. With 8:42 left, the Nuggets’ lead has shrunk to six points, 86-80.
End of third quarter: Nuggets 86, Heat 73
10:32 p.m.: The game was restarted, but Aaron Gordon was still hot under the collar. He made a 3-pointer to close the third quarter, giving the Nuggets a 13-point advantage going into the fourth. Gordon scores a game-high 25 points on a 10-for-13 field goal and 3-for-3 three-point shooting performance.
10:25 p.m.: The action is slightly delayed. The basket is uneven because Bam Adebayo’s attempted slam hung on the rim. Bring the level and ladder out!
10:16 p.m.: The Heat just won’t go away, stop me if you’ve heard this one before. Miami comes up with a move to stay in the game every time it seems like the Nuggets are about to pull away.
Kevin Love is working hard on both ends of the court, and Duncan Robinson intercepted a pass from Nikola Jokic for a layup in transition. With 7:35 left in the quarter, Denver is still in the lead, 74-66.
Halftime: Nuggets 55, Heat 51
9:42 p.m.: As the Heat maintain a close lead going into halftime, another “Bam Slam” sends the Miami audience into a frenzy. Jimmy Butler leads his side with 14 points and five assists, while Kyle Lowry added 13 points off the bench to give his squad a boost.
Aaron Gordon scored 16 points in the second quarter, bringing his total for the game to 16. Nikola Jokic also scored 16 points while playing with an ankle injury. Jamal Murray has only contributed six points and four assists thus far.
9:30 p.m.:In Game 4, Aaron Gordon has begun to put on a show. With 2:41 remaining in the half, the athletic big has a total of 15 points after going 6-for-6 from the field to start the second quarter and contribute to the Nuggets’ 48-43 lead.
To showcase his outburst, he made a 3-pointer, threw down a devastating dunk in the middle of the court, and finished an exquisite alley-oop pass from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.
9:20 p.m.: After hurting his ankle near the conclusion of the first quarter, Nikola Jokic walked to the locker room. He later returned to the game and made a three-point shot on his first possession.
9:15 p.m.: The Heat are generating simple offensive looks all of a sudden. Jimmy Butler assisted Duncan Robinson, who then made a wide-open corner three-pointer and found Butler cutting open for a layup. Early in the second quarter, with the score tied at 30, Denver called timeout.

9:06 p.m.: We’re playing a game of baseball. Jimmy Butler’s buzzer-beating corner 3 gave Miami a 21-20 lead as the Heat went on a 10-2 run to end the quarter. With 14 of the Heat’s 21 points coming from him or his assists, Butler was outstanding in the opening period.
8:58 p.m.: Early on, the Nuggets’ defense was oppressive. They have forced the Heat to battle for every basket by limiting them to 5-for-14 shooting from the field and 1-for-7 shooting from beyond the arc. Jamal Murray makes a 3-pointer to give him six points for the night as he begins to find his rhythm. With 2:06 remaining in the opening frame, Denver leads 18-11.
8:47 p.m.: Game 4 is off to a rough start, with the score tied at 7-7 after five minutes. It’s always a good indication for Miami when Bam Adebayo (4 PTS) displays offensive aggression. Michael Porter Jr. has been in a slump for a while now, missing back-to-back opportunities to make baskets near the rim.
